A Word from the Principal

BESGB is a high achieving, happy, vibrant and forward thinking school in which children excel themselves, both academically and socially.

Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Beirut Evangelical School for Girls and Boys (BESGB). Our school is a learning community that seeks success for each student as we strive to deepen our core values of: excellence, honesty and trust, fairness and respect, teamwork, and diversity. These wide Learning Expectations are a solid base for our expectations of our students who are launched off into the world reflecting our values to society at large. Our graduates are fully prepared; not only to excel in the major of their choice, but also to affect positive change as constructive members of their communities. Our students go out into the world well equipped to face new challenges and to meet them with confidence and grace.

BESGB, a vibrant school community, looks to the future and continually investigates new methods, new technology, and new programs that will give students the global education for which SYNOD schools are known. Working tirelessly, the faculty, staff, administration, and school board make quality education a top priority. We are proud of our academics and our students’ accomplishments in the classroom, the community and on the athletic field!

We are also very proud of the family oriented community at BESGB.  School families, an integral part of the education process, provide our school with time, talent, and resources that enable us to be a safe, nurturing environment for students and a welcoming host for all families. We truly are a ‘family for families’!

Personally, I’m aware that this is a huge responsibility but one that I have learned to value and treasure on many levels and for many different reasons. My position as principal has never been a title that spells prestige and power; it has always been about serving my community with one single focus and goal – doing what is in the best interest of our children (students). This is what drives my work each and every day…
