Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon Announces the Second National Educational Conference in Partnership with Brummana High School (BHS)Under the theme of “Bridging the Gap,” the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon (AESL) is organizing the second National Educational Conference (NEC2024), scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 2, 2024, in partnership with Brummana High School (BHS). The conference will include lectures by local and global specialists in the field of education. It will address a variety of relevant issues such as unfinished learning, learning gaps, the use of technology and artificial intelligence in education, promoting social and emotional learning (SEL), mental health, applying effective teaching methods, and inclusion, along with other equally important topics. The conference will also provide an opportunity to discuss inclusive schools and special needs. While announcing the conference, Dr. Nabil Costa, the General Secretary for the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon, expressed his appreciation for the partnership with Brummana High School (BHS) that will be hosting the event. He added that “Despite the losses incurred in the field of education and by educational institutions due to distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the prevalent economic crisis in Lebanon, and the challenging times that we’ve been through, evangelical schools have not ceased, nor will they cease, to strive - in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education - to find solutions to challenging issues such as the official examinations, educational loss, curriculum development, and accreditation.”In turn, Mr. David Gray, Director of BHS, expressed his appreciation for the members of the Association and the opportunity to host NEC2024 at Brummana High School, particularly since the event coincides with the school’s annual conference. He emphasized the value of such cooperation among evangelical schools and the importance of such events in facilitating the exchange of ideas and experiences, and in overcoming barriers.AESL’s President, Dr. George Rahbani, highlighted the importance of collaboration between educators. He announced the formation of committees that will be in charge of NEC2024’s program, the various themes and topics to be covered, along with various other activities that are part of the event. With educators and teachers in mind, particularly those in evangelical and private schools such as St. George School that have continued to participate in our training workshops and events for years now, we encourage all to benefit from this unique opportunity to share experiences, learn from each other, and work together to advance education in Lebanon!Stay tuned for more updates on social media about the “Bridging the Gap” conference.#AESL #NEC2024 #BridgingTheGap #EvangelicalSchools #Education #Schools #Lebanon #IncompleteLearning #ArtificialIntelligence #MentalHealth #Teachers #TeachingMethods ...
